Praise for The Lord's Prayer
“The Lord’s Prayer is the first of its kind. Never has this prayer been explained in its original context through such a beautiful, premium documentary format. I believe in and support this project. The cinematography is spectacular. The content is exceptional.”
— Mark Burnett, Executive Producer of Shark Tank, The Voice, and Survivor
“The Lord’s Prayer film is beautifully crafted—clear, compelling, and spiritually rich. It takes one of the most familiar passages in Scripture and opens it up with fresh depth and reverence. It draws people from simply reciting the prayer to truly understanding and living it. It draws viewers from familiarity into awe, from recitation to relationship.”
— Mart Green, Hobby Lobby Ministry Investment Officer
“The Lord’s Prayer offers theologically rich and biblically rigorous content, enlightening and inspiring viewers. Prominent Bible scholars offer academically accurate explanations of the prayer’s connections with the Old Testament and first century A.D. cultural realities. These compelling insights illuminate the Lord’s Prayer in spiritually rich ways, confirming Jesus’s prayer as the most powerful words about God’s love for his creation and all people.”
— Dr. Lynn Cohick, Distinguished Professor of New Testament at Houston Christian University
“The Lord’s Prayer is a compelling film that challenges our tendency to read Scripture through the lens of our own experience. Although this prayer is well-known and often quoted, its depth and richness are easily overlooked.
By drawing together the biblical story behind Jesus’ words, the film reveals a fuller tapestry of meaning that expands our understanding and reshapes our hearts. It helps us move from merely reciting the prayer to truly living it—becoming faithful conduits of God’s mission and genuine representatives of His Kingdom. We wholeheartedly recommend it.“
— Dr. John and Kelly Chesnut, President & CEO, Wycliffe Bible Translators
“The Lord’s Prayer delves deep into theology and history to provide important new insights into the power and beauty of this familiar prayer. Viewers walk away not only with a better understanding of the intricate meaning layered throughout the Lord’s prayer, but also with a deeper love of our Savior who shared it.”
— Heather Rice-Minus, President & CEO, Prison Fellowship

About the Film
Embark on a cinematic journey through the ancient world to experience the Lord’s Prayer as never before. Hosted by Brad Gray and featuring insights from N.T. Wright and other leading scholars, this film traces the prayer back to the landscapes where Jesus first taught it—revealing its meaning within its original cultural and historical setting.
Far more than a familiar recitation, the Lord’s Prayer emerges as the heartbeat of the gospel: a bold, practical call to live God’s kingdom here and now. Each line invites us to trust, surrender, forgive, and pursue God’s justice and peace in our world today. Through breathtaking visuals and compelling teaching, the film moves viewers beyond reciting the prayer to embodying it—allowing its words to shape everyday life.
Ultimately, it’s an invitation to enter the prayer that has formed faith for centuries and still speaks with urgent relevance today.
